To help deliver more good homes for people, the Province is introducing new laws to build the homes people need, make it possible for homes that are vacant to be rented and remove discriminatory age and rental restrictions in stratas that hurt young families.

Funding to tackle racism and advance racial equity is available for community organizations through the Province’s 2022-23 multiculturalism grants program.

Following two days of productive meetings with federal, provincial and territorial ministers responsible for justice and public safety, Murray Rankin, Attorney General, and Mike Farnworth, Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General, have secured a commitment from the federal government on addressing repeat offending countrywide.

The Province has received the final investigative report about the challenges of repeat offending and unprovoked, violent stranger attacks that some communities are facing.

The Province has received expert recommendations that will help shape actions to keep people and communities safe, and connect people who have been committing repeat offences with the supports they need to break out of that cycle.
