Industrial Product Price Index - Prices for Canadian manufactured products edged 0.6% higher in May compared to the same month of 2018. Motorized and recreational vehicles (+3.2%) and meat, fish, and dairy products (+5.8%) were the main causes of the overall inflation.

Average Weekly Earnings - Average weekly earnings of payroll employees in British Columbia (seasonally adjusted, current dollars) increased in April, inching up by $3.41 (+0.3%) to reach $989.15. Compared to April of last year, average weekly earnings in the province were 3.8% higher.

Television Broadcasting - Operating revenues from television broadcasting in Canada slipped 0.9% in 2018, to $7.1 billion. Pay TV saw the most substantial decline, with revenues dipping 6.7% to $639 million.

Wholesale Sales - Wholesale sales in the province increased 1.6% (seasonally adjusted) in April, building on a 3.4% boost recorded in March. Nationally, wholesalers painted a similar picture, posting a moderate 1.7% climb in sales.
