Coroners Service confirms identity of deceased male

KELOWNA - The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who was found deceased in a residence in Nelson on Feb. 1, 2013.

He was Andrew John Meisner, aged 33, a resident of Nelson.

Mr. Meisner was found in his residence on Feb. 1, 2013, by friends who were checking on him as they had been unable to reach him for some hours. He was deceased at the scene and is believed to have died the previous day.

The Coroners Service and Nelson City RCMP continue to investigate this death. Foul play has now been ruled out.

The family of Mr. Meisner has been notified of his death. On behalf of the family, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
