With enthusiasm for unique, premium spirits growing each year, BC Liquor Stores is pleased to release rare, highly recommended selections for the annual Spirit Release on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011.

This year's premium spirit release features more than 40 world-class products in a wide range of price levels that will interest collectors and novices alike. This collection includes a large selection of single malts for the whisky enthusiast, an exceptionally delicious Caribbean rum from St. Lucia and some unique, organic liqueurs with spicy flavour profiles.

Not to be missed this year is the Laphroaig Cairdeas, which is being offered exclusively to the Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB). Priced at $89.95, limited availability means that the single-malt aficionado is advised to shop early for this product.

Also available this year is a wide selection of premium bourbons, including Pappy Van Winkle's 23-Year Old Bourbon ($249.99) and Blanton's Gold Label ($119.99).

Customers will have an opportunity to sample a selection of available products on Saturday, Nov. 5 at the 39th & Cambie BC Signature Liquor Store from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Join Adele Shaw, the LDB's Portfolio Manager for Spirits, along with knowledgeable BC Liquor Store product consultants for a taste of this year's spirit release products.

The rarest of the selection are available in limited quantities, so some bottle restrictions will apply. Customers are advised to shop early to avoid disappointment, and for the best selection visit the 39th & Cambie BC Signature Liquor Store.

For information on the products available at your local Signature Store, please speak with a BC Liquor Store Product Consultant. This event operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
