Over the last six months, Shared Services BC conducted the largest heritage-related public consultation for a site in B.C.'s history. Now, the draft Riverview Lands' Heritage Conservation Plan (HCP) is ready for citizens to review and comment on.
The draft HCP is available for download at www.riverviewvalues.info. Hard copies are also available for review at the main branches of the Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam Public Libraries, at Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam city halls.
The draft HCP was developed to reflect the values stakeholders and the public hold for the Riverview Lands. These values were captured through a number of workshops, questionnaires, interviews, and online and written submissions.
Citizens are encouraged to identify any values not yet addressed in the draft HCP, as well as provide feedback on the proposed conservation strategies. The feedback will be considered in the final draft of the plan.
