The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a girl who died after being struck by a motor vehicle on June 4, 2015, in Oliver.
Mya Daylene Goddard, aged 16, from Penticton was crossing Highway 97 when she was struck by a southbound recreational motor vehicle.
Mya was transported from the scene of the incident to South Okanagan General Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.
Mya’s nearest relative has been notified of her death. The BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
