Young people of Dawson Creek will have an opportunity to learn the skills they will need for tomorrow’s in-demand occupations. WorkBC’s Find Your Fit tour will be making its next stop at the Dawson Creek Secondary school – central campus on Oct. 6, 2016.
Find Your Fit is an interactive event where individuals of all ages can learn about British Columbia’s in-demand careers and test out some of the skills they would need for those occupations. Participants will also get to know career planning tools – such as Blueprint Builder and Career Trek videos – and the job resources and labour market information WorkBC.ca offers.
Parents, teachers and career counsellors may benefit, too – by discovering ways to educate and support youth in their career exploration.
The Find Your Fit event will be open to the public from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Find Your Fit is part of B.C.’s Skills for Jobs Blueprint commitment to re-engineer education and deliver the skilled workforce needed in British Columbia’s growing economy. The tour has had more than 150, 000 participants so far, and was most recently in Chetwynd.

Mike Bernier, MLA Peace River South –
“Find Your Fit is a wonderful way for our youth to learn about all the different job opportunities they’ll have in the future, and it’s fun too. We’re anticipating nearly 1 million job openings by 2025, and programs like Find Your Fit, and the B.C.'s Skills for Jobs Blueprint, will ensure we have the skilled workforce to fill those in-demand positions.”
