The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died following a single motor vehicle incident in Vernon on June 1, 2016.
He is Justin Roger Martyn, aged 27, of Spallumcheen.
Mr. Martyn was a passenger, riding on the roof of the involved motor vehicle, when the vehicle drove off Tronson Road near the intersection with Garmisch Road. Mr. Martyn died at the scene as the result of his injuries.
A scene investigation was conducted by the BC Coroners Service and the RCMP, with the assistance of a RCMP Traffic Analyst.
The BC Coroners Service continues to investigate this death.
Mr. Martyn’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of the family members, the BC Coroners Service requests that the media respect their privacy during this difficult time.
