Two community meetings for B.C.’s first Poverty Reduction Strategy will take place in Vancouver this month.
Residents are invited to come and talk about how to reduce poverty in the province. Ideas shared at this in-person community meeting will help inform the Poverty Reduction Strategy that is scheduled to be released in fall 2018. Everyone is welcome.
Vancouver community meeting #1:
Date: Saturday, March 10, 2018
Location: Ray-Cam Co-operative Centre, 920 E Hastings St.
Time: Doors open at 10 a.m. The community meeting will run from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Vancouver community meeting #2:
Date: Tuesday, March 20, 2018
Location: Heritage Hall, 3102 Main St.
Time: Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The community meeting will run from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Notes for both meetings: Refreshments will be served. The locations are accessible. Supports are available to help you participate, including transportation, child care, disability and health supports, as well as secure storage for belongings.
