Work is underway on an independent review of wholesale liquor distribution in British Columbia.
Government commissioned the review in December 2018 to address industry concerns and ensure recent system changes meet the needs of suppliers and wholesale customers.
Government has engaged an outside consultant to conduct the review, which will examine current practices, seek input from suppliers and wholesale customers, and recommend any needed improvements to distribution processes going forward. Results from the review will be released in the fall.
Mark Hicken, Business Technical Advisory Panel (BTAP) chair, recommended the review in his report to government last year. The BTAP report includes recommendations to improve business interactions between the Province and B.C.’s liquor industry.
