Facts about greenhouse gas emissions in B.C.
  • B.C.’s emissions are projected to be 20% lower by 2030 compared to 2007, based on currently implemented or sufficiently advanced measures.
  • By 2022, emissions per person had decreased by 21.6%, and emissions intensity per unit of GDP had fallen by 30.5% since 2007.
  • Zero-emission vehicles made up nearly 23% of new light-duty vehicle sales in 2023, a 25% increase from 2022.
