Summary
- $35 million available through the 2026 Clean Industry Fund
- Applications opened Wednesday, April 1, 2026
- Supports projects that reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency
__________
The Province has opened the 2026 intake of the Clean Industry Fund, which reinvests a portion of B.C.’s industrial carbon price to help companies reduce emissions, adopt cleaner technologies and lower the cost and risk of these projects.
Funded projects help companies improve energy efficiency, transition to electrification and operate with lower emissions. This supports good jobs, strengthens local communities and grows British Columbia’s clean industry.
Funding for 2026 is available through three streams:
- emissions performance
- innovation accelerator
- feasibility studies
A new $10-million project cap for the emissions performance stream will support funding across more projects.
Since 2019, the fund has invested more than $300 million in 167 projects throughout the province, which are expected to reduce more than 14 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions. Projects are selected through a competitive process that evaluates emissions reductions, cost effectiveness and the potential to benefit other industries.
Every dollar of provincial funding brings in another $2 from industry and partners, supporting sustainable growth, stronger competitiveness and lasting benefits for B.C.’s economy.
Quick Facts:
