From May 23-31, 2016, Premier Christy Clark will lead a trade mission to South Korea, the Philippines and Japan. This will be Premier Clark’s third trade mission to South Korea and Japan and her second to the Philippines.
The overarching themes of this trade mission are reaffirming B.C.’s commitment to long-standing trade relationships in Japan and Korea, promoting LNG, and opening up new markets in Southeast Asia with the opening of a new trade office in the Philippines to promote opportunities in liquefied natural gas, clean energy and green technology. The Premier will be meeting with key LNG stakeholders in Japan and Korea, and will be signing an MOU with Japan that centers on energy cooperation.
