The growing community of Langley will gain 200 more student spaces at Nicomekl Elementary school as part of the government’s plan to expand schools faster. 

Students and families are one step closer to having a new elementary school with construction starting in the Township of Langley’s Willoughby Heights area.

With construction underway, Langley students will soon benefit from a safer and expanded Peter Ewart Middle School.

Francophone children in Langley are benefiting from child care that will deepen connections to their culture and enrich their learning with the opening of a new French-language child care centre at école des Voyageurs.

Students, parents and staff can look forward to a safer, larger school with 11 more classrooms now that funding has been approved to seismically upgrade and expand Peter Ewart Middle school.  

British Columbia has surpassed 30,500 new child care spaces funded since the launch of ChildCareBC in 2018, giving parents greater ability to pursue work, school and other opportunities while knowing their children are cared for.

Construction is about to start on a partial seismic replacement at Vanguard Secondary school, giving students a safer place to learn.
