Improvements are being made to a popular destination for hiking and mountain biking in a section of Gowlland Tod Provincial Park on Vancouver Island.  

The Province has issued an Environmental Assessment certificate for Cedar LNG following a multi-year assessment process under B.C.’s Environmental Assessment Act to construct and operate a floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility and marine export terminal located on Haisla-Nation-owned land on Douglas Channel in Kitimat.

A B.C. environmental assessment certificate has been issued to Cedar LNG Partners LP for the proposed Cedar LNG project in northwestern British Columbia, following a joint decision by provincial ministers.
