As the number of cases of avian influenza continues to rise in British Columbia, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food will hold two virtual information sessions for B.C. small-flock poultry owners.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has confirmed seven commercial poultry farms in the Fraser Valley tested positive for highly pathogenic avian influenza between Nov. 16 and 19, 2022.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food will hold three information sessions Oct. 12-14 for small-flock poultry owners on Salt Spring Island and in the Cowichan and Comox valleys.
