More people are choosing to pursue studies in early childhood education, which is good news for families, communities, children and B.C.’s economy.

The Ministry of Health, the provincial health officer and the Ministry of Education and Child Care are reminding families of how to stay healthy and reduce the spread of communicable diseases, including COVID-19, as children return to school and child care.

Thirty-four education professionals from throughout B.C. have been named as finalists in this year’s Premier’s Awards for Excellence in Education.

Students in B.C. will now have new possibilities to earn credits for First Nations language and culture programs through the expansion of the External Credentials Program (ECP).

Through a robust public engagement, the government has received constructive feedback that will inform the successful implementation of the new Indigenous-focused graduation requirement.
