People experiencing food insecurity in B.C. will benefit from $2.35 million in new government funding to support community-based programs and research into emerging and urgent food needs.

Residents with limited income living in Greater Victoria will soon have improved access to local and nutritious food.

With $35,000 in provincial funding, the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society (VIRCS) can complete a much-needed technology infrastructure upgrade to better serve 3,000 immigrants, refugees and new Canadian citizens each year.
