Premier David Eby has appointed Lisa Helps, Victoria's former mayor, as the Premier’s housing solutions adviser.

Indigenous organizations and other groups that work with people facing homelessness throughout British Columbia are encouraged to apply for the Province’s Homelessness Community Action Grants.

With snow and freezing rain in the forecast, which may cause dangerous road conditions, travel advisories are in place for many areas of B.C., including the Fraser Valley and mid- and south Vancouver Island from Thursday, Dec. 22 until Saturday, Dec. 24. 

Young people from government care have more support to make stronger transitions into adulthood because of $600-a-month rent supplements.

Thousands more families in B.C. will save thousands of dollars per year as more than 2,450 more child care spaces moved into the $10 a Day ChildCareBC program in December.
