Families, seniors and youth are moving into 94 new affordable rental homes built for people with moderate to low incomes in Maple Ridge.

People experiencing or at risk of homelessness in North Cowichan will soon move into 52 new safe and secure homes as the community’s first supportive housing building opens.

To better protect the rights of Indigenous Peoples and as a step toward implementation of the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (Declaration Act), the Province, in collaboration with Indigenous Peoples, has developed a new approach to litigation.

Twenty-seven new affordable and safe rental homes are available for single women and women with children in Richmond.

The Province, together with BC Housing and Atira Women’s Resource Society, is opening 70 permanent homes for people who lost their homes when a fire destroyed the Winters Hotel in Gastown. 

Following a merit-based recruitment process, Paul Singh has been appointed for a three-year term as chair of the Mental Health Review Board, the independent tribunal established under the Mental Health Act.
