People who need accessible housing, such as seniors and people living with disabilities, have started to move into 12 new affordable and safe rental homes in Coquitlam. 

More people living in single-room occupancy (SRO) hotels in Vancouver will be able to access improved services and supports through a provincial grant of $11 million to the Downtown Eastside SRO Collaborative Society (SRO-C).

Families, seniors and individuals in Coquitlam have started moving into 100 new affordable rental homes in the recently opened 55One, a 308-suite residential tower developed by Concert Properties.

Eighty-nine affordable rental homes for families, seniors and individuals, along with a respite centre, will be available to people in North Vancouver as a redevelopment project begins.

The Province, through BC Housing, has purchased a supportive housing building in Prince George that will provide as many as 22 homes with support services for people experiencing homelessness.

Indigenous Elders, individuals and people living with disabilities with low to moderate incomes will soon have access to 40 new affordable homes in Courtenay.
