British Columbians experiencing or at-risk of homelessness will benefit from expanded services, supports, and more timely access to care, thanks to new investments in Budget 2022.

The Province has appointed 11 British Columbians as the first members of the Provincial Accessibility Committee (PAC), marking the next step in government’s work to remove barriers  for people with disabilities in B.C.

Fifteen community-based projects are benefiting from more than $450,000 in government funding to increase accessibility and community inclusion.

As many as 30 eligible British Columbians will get skills training to prepare them for jobs in the hospitality industry in the Okanagan and Shuswap regions.

As many as 32 eligible Victorians will get skills training and followup support to prepare them to re-enter the workforce as part-time service-sector workers.

As many as nine eligible British Columbians will get skills training to prepare them for employment in the trucking industry in the Columbia Valley.

Sixteen British Columbians are qualified and working as certified early childhood educators, thanks to a Community and Employer Partnerships (CEP) project from the Government of British Columbia.

As many as 12 eligible British Columbians will get skills training and work experience to prepare them for jobs as general construction workers and labourers.
