The Province, through BC Housing, is partnering with the Oncore Seniors Society to finance a rental complex in Kamloops, preserving 53 units of affordable rental housing for seniors.

People who are vulnerable and have low incomes will be supported with $200,000 in government funding for local poverty-reduction projects in southern Interior communities.

Additional federal-provincial funding is coming to the BC Farmers’ Market Expansion Program, further supporting the province's local farmers' markets and vendors.

Premier John Horgan has issued the following statement in recognition of International Workers’ Day:

Construction is underway on 10 new affordable rental homes in Kaslo for families with low and moderate incomes, seniors, individuals and people living with disabilities.

B.C. farmers and producers now have until June 30, 2022, to enrol in the Federal-Provincial-Territorial AgriStability Program, giving them an extra two months to assess their risk-management needs.  

Following the flooding in November 2021, the Province is making significant changes to ensure more people, communities and businesses can access and receive increased benefits from British Columbia’s Disaster Financial Assistance program.

Through CleanBC funding committed in Budget 2022, the Province is providing $19 million over three years to increase the carbon stored in B.C.’s forests and develop innovative, low-carbon forest-based products that support good jobs for people.
