People living with cancer and their caregivers throughout B.C. now have access to accommodation and support services at the Canadian Cancer Society’s new Centre for Cancer Prevention and Support.

British Columbia has planted more than one billion trees since 2018, including 301 million this year.

People in 55 communities throughout the province, including 14 communities in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, will benefit from more than $17 million in grants in lieu of municipal property taxes this year.

Work is currently underway on the Alex Fraser Bridge until early on Monday, Nov. 15, as crews repair the bridge joints. Drivers are advised that weekend lane closures are necessary to safely perform this regular bridge maintenance.

The Province, through BC Housing, is working with the City of Kamloops to open three new shelters to provide approximately 115 spaces for people experiencing homelessness.
