The Tŝilhqot’in Nation and Taseko Mines are working with the B.C. government to reach a resolution to the long-standing conflict over the proposed New Prosperity gold-copper mine project southwest of Williams Lake.

The Taku River Tlingit First Nation (TRTFN) is leading an environmental monitoring study in collaboration with industry and the Province that will inform future updates to placer mining regulations for the Atlin region.

Michelle Mungall, Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources, has issued the following statement:
