New funding for the University of Victoria’s (UVic) Experimental Ocean Climate Change Lab (EXCEL) will support research on the impact of climate change on the environment and the promotion of resilience and sustainability for B.C.’s marine sector.

Brenda Bailey, Minister of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation, has issued the following statement on the release of Statistics Canada’s Labour Force Survey for July 2023:

Small businesses throughout British Columbia will soon have access to new funding to support increased costs due to crime and vandalism, and to prevent further crime.

To attract more investment to B.C.’s life-sciences sector so that more global health-care challenges can be solved locally, Brenda Bailey, Minister of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation, is leading a trade mission to the BIO International Convention in Boston.

B.C. is launching a new international trade strategy that will help more B.C. businesses export and invest internationally and increase the diversity of exporters and global markets to ensure a stronger, more resilient economy.
