Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) is now available for eligible British Columbians in southwest, central and southeast areas of the province and Vancouver Island who were affected by flooding and landslides from Nov. 14-16, 2021.

Mike Farnworth, B.C.'s Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General, has released the following statement:

The number of licensee retail stores (LRSs) in B.C. will not grow for another decade under a moratorium extension meant to protect public health and providing certainty for the liquor industry.

Based on advice from emergency management and wildfire officials, British Columbia’s provincial state of emergency, enacted to support provincial wildfire response, will expire at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 14 (Pacific time).
