Millions of British Columbians will benefit from new measures to help people with the high cost of living caused by global inflation.

As a step to dismantle systemic racism and discrimination faced by Indigenous, Black and people of colour, the Province is introducing the anti-racism data act. 

New data released by Statistics Canada shows that British Columbia broke a record for the number of people moving to the province in 2021.

The Province is launching a bold, new long-term economic plan that moves British Columbia forward by tackling the challenges of today while growing an economy that works for more people and families.

British Columbians are encouraged to help shape B.C.’s anti-racism data legislation, so government can better identify existing gaps and create a more inclusive, equitable province.

The Province is providing the Nikkei Seniors Health Care and Housing Society with $2 million as part of its commitment to honour the traumatic internment of almost 22,000 Japanese Canadians during the Second World War.
