The Province has appointed 11 British Columbians as the first members of the Provincial Accessibility Committee (PAC), marking the next step in government’s work to remove barriers  for people with disabilities in B.C.

As many as 30 eligible British Columbians will get skills training to prepare them for jobs in the hospitality industry in the Okanagan and Shuswap regions.

As many as 36 eligible British Columbians will get skills training to prepare them for jobs in the public-works sector.

As many as 20 eligible British Columbians will get skill enhancement training and local work experience as IT help desk analysts to help them develop their careers in the tech industry.

New accessibility legislation will set British Columbia on the path to a more accessible and inclusive province for people with disabilities and their support networks.

More than 300,000 British Columbians will benefit from the largest-ever permanent increase to income assistance and disability assistance rates and the first-ever increase to the senior’s supplement.

The third intake of the Province’s Work Experience Opportunities Grant has opened to help more British Columbians move toward economic recovery, thanks to broader eligibility requirements.
