People experiencing or at risk of homelessness in North Cowichan will soon move into 52 new safe and secure homes as the community’s first supportive housing building opens.

Twenty-seven new affordable and safe rental homes are available for single women and women with children in Richmond.

The Province, together with BC Housing and Atira Women’s Resource Society, is opening 70 permanent homes for people who lost their homes when a fire destroyed the Winters Hotel in Gastown. 

The Province, through BC Housing, and the City of Kamloops have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that formalizes their commitment to work together on future housing projects and shelters.

A new temporary shelter with 42 beds for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness is open in Penticton.

The Westwinds seniors housing development in Squamish is now open, providing 232 affordable rental homes for low-income seniors.

With the opening of Moira House shelter, people experiencing homelessness in Kamloops have access to 40 new year-round shelter beds.
