Grading and gravelling is on the way for the Turtle Valley area west of Chase, bringing much needed improvements to the side roads in this area.
“We heard loud and clear that the conditions of these roads need to be improved which is why we’re making this a top priority,” said Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Todd Stone. “We are committed to keeping our side-road network is good condition. That’s why, as part of B.C. on the Move, we’re investing $270 million over the next three years to improve side roads, adding 150 additional kilometres per year.”
Improvements will be made to five side roads off Squilax Anglemont Road and will include grading, graveling, drainage improvements and base stabilization.
The following roads will undergo rehabilitation:
- Turtle Valley Road
- Black Mountain Road
- Bailey Road
- Skimikin Road
- Hepburn Road
The work is scheduled for September through October 2016.
