Drivers can check on road conditions before heading out on Highway 91 in Richmond East with the addition of a new highway camera, Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Todd Stone announced.
“These new cameras mean those planning to travel in and through the Lower Mainland can easily check current road and weather conditions for various locations before heading out,” Stone said. “Now we have more than 620 highway webcam views at 350 locations throughout British Columbia to help drivers ‘know before they go’ and make travel plans, according to traffic congestion, weather conditions and other events.”
The new webcam will provide up-to-date monitoring of road conditions and is located on Highway 91A at the Highway 91 interchange to the Queensborough Connector in Richmond East.
“This new webcam will provide timely information on road and traffic conditions to make it easier for drivers in the Lower Mainland to plan their commute and avoid delays,” said Richmond East MLA Linda Reid.
