Drivers can expect delays next week on Highway 1 in Kamloops as traffic controllers will be replaced at three intersections in order to provide more efficient signal timing through the busy corridor.
The new controllers are being installed in partnership with CP Rail and the City of Kamloops, and will provide added safety at the rail crossings.
Work is scheduled as follows:
- Highway 1 at Vicars Road on Monday, Jan. 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Highway 1 at Tanager Drive on Tuesday, Jan. 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Highway 1 at River Road on Wednesday, Jan. 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
It is necessary to perform this work during the day. The traffic control in place will strive to minimize delays for the public. The ministry thanks people in advance for their patience. For the most up-to-date highway travel information, check @DriveBC on Twitter or visit: DriveBC.ca
