People experiencing homelessness in Prince George will continue to have access to safe and secure housing as the Province purchases two properties to preserve and create 123 supportive homes.  

Two young local leaders have been named to the StrongerBC Young Leaders Council and will provide direct and ongoing feedback to government on priorities and policies that matter to youth.

Indigenous students attending the College of New Caledonia (CNC) now have a culturally safe and welcoming environment to call home with the opening of the first Indigenous-specific student housing at the college.

People living in British Columbia’s northern region are benefiting from more than $11 million in transportation investments made to support the region during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Crews are working on a variety of paving projects in British Columbia’s northern region, covering more than 350 kilometres of highways and side roads this year.

More parents in Prince George will be able to return to work, go back to school or pursue other opportunities as the Province invests in more than 180 new licensed child care spaces, over 75 of which are expected to open by September 2021.

Twelve new destination and tourism infrastructure developments are underway in the northern B.C. tourism region with support from the Province.
