Neurodiverse children and youth and those with disabilities will benefit from a new service system that will provide supports for children and youth based on their unique needs, with or without a diagnosis.

The families of children and youth with physical disabilities and other complex care needs will receive more help to pay for the medical equipment they need to live at home through a $10-million funding increase to medical equipment benefits under the At Home Program.

The Province is accepting applications from licensed child care providers who want to give families child care for $10 a day or less.

More families than ever are benefiting from better access to quality, affordable child care, thanks to the fastest creation of child care spaces in B.C.’s history.

More parents on southern Vancouver Island will have the option to return to work, go back to school or pursue other opportunities as the Province invests in more than 320 new licensed child care spaces, 224 of which are expected to open by the end of the year.

Families on Vancouver Island will soon have access to nearly 340 new licensed child care spaces as part of the Province’s ongoing commitment to increasing access to child care through the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
