Recent wind storms or a viral outbreak are potential causes of the ongoing die-off of Okanagan Lake kokanee. More than 1,000 kokanee have washed up on the shores of the lake since July 14.

The public is advised that the Scotch Creek Forest Service Road will be temporarily closed at the nine-kilometre mark from Monday, July 18 to Friday July 22, 2016, to allow for road upgrades.

Effective Monday, July 11, 2016 through Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, the Black Creek-Bosk Lake Forest Service Road (FSR) (500 Road) will be closed at the 0.5 kilometre mark to allow for the replacement of a bridge over the Horsefly River.
