Effective Monday, July 11, 2016 through Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, the Black Creek-Bosk Lake Forest Service Road (FSR) (500 Road) will be closed at the 0.5 kilometre mark to allow for the replacement of a bridge over the Horsefly River.
The bridge, which is being replaced to improve public safety, is situated approximately 27 kilometres east of the community of Horsefly, on the way to McKinley Lake.
Members of the public are advised that alternate access to McKinley Lake, Tisdall Lake, Elbow Lake, Bosk Lake and 100 Mile House is available.
Here are the directions:
Take the Horsefly River FSR (100 Road) to the 45-kilometre mark, turn right onto the Horsefly River-McKusky FSR (6700 Road)—known locally as Crooked Lake Road—and travel to the 21.5-kilometre mark where Black Creek-Bosk Lake FSR (500 road) junctions. Turn right onto the 500 Road to go to Tisdall, Elbow and McKinley lakes, or continue south on 6700 Road to Bosk Lake and 100 Mile House.
