More Indigenous people will soon have new affordable rental homes on and off reserve as the Province is inviting Indigenous housing providers, First Nations and other Indigenous organizations to submit proposals for the Building BC: Indigenous Housing Fund (IHF).

Sixty temporary homes will soon be available for people experiencing homelessness in Kelowna as construction gets underway on the second project created through an agreement between the Province and the city.

People experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Victoria are moving into 46 new homes with around-the-clock supports with the opening of The Juniper.

More than 20 new safe and secure second-stage homes are open in Port Alberni for women and their children leaving violence.

Women and children leaving violence in West Kelowna now have access to 55 new safe places, with a partnership between the Province through BC Housing and Kelowna Women’s Shelter.
