Students, families and staff can look forward to school improvements in Abbotsford that include a completed seismic safety upgrade this year.

Students, teachers and staff at Abbotsford Traditional Secondary school will soon have a safer learning environment now that work is underway to seismically upgrade the school.

Good news is on the way for students and families in Abbotsford, as construction has begun on a new elementary school that will also provide child care spaces for the community.

A two-hour education session is being offered in Abbotsford as part of a new school-based gang prevention program to provide parents with practical knowledge on how to help prevent their children from getting involved in youth gangs.

Students and families in the Eagle Mountain area of Abbotsford can look forward to a new elementary school in the near future, providing more classroom space for one of B.C.’s fastest growing communities. 

Students in the Abbotsford School District will benefit from almost $2.5 million in provincial funding for school upgrade projects, classroom supplies and new school buses, MLA Simon Gibson announced on behalf of Education Minister Mike Bernier.
