Families in Burnaby will have 550 more student spaces in their community as part of the government’s plan to expand schools faster.

More students and families in Burnaby will have access to affordable and quality child care with 160 additional child care spaces to be created on the local Simon Fraser University campus.

Students and staff are returning to safer classrooms now that the seismically safer replacement of Burnaby North Secondary school is complete.

Fifteen new affordable rental homes and 37 child care spaces are available for families and people in Burnaby with the opening of a new mixed-use housing development.

Students at Seaforth and Parkcrest Elementary schools in Burnaby are heading back to seismically safer schools.
