People living with addiction challenges in the Campbell River area will soon have access to local detox services to help them in their recovery journey.

To minimize the risk invasive spongy moths pose to forests, farms, orchards and urban trees, and to prevent the moths from becoming permanently established, the Ministry of Forests plans to carry out a spongy moth treatment program in Campbell River during the spring.

People in 55 B.C. communities, including Campbell River and seven other Vancouver Island municipalities, will benefit from approximately $17.3 million in grants in lieu of municipal property taxes this year.
