On the heels of World Autism Awareness Day on April 2, the Province is announcing $100,000 to help support the Comox Valley Child Development Association renovate their facility.

Cumberland will receive $151,735 in BikeBC funding this year for the Bevan Road and Cumberland Road cycling upgrades.

Students in the Comox Valley School District will benefit from almost $1 million in provincial funding for school upgrade projects and classroom supplies, MLA Don McRae announced on behalf of Education Minister Mike Bernier.

Skilled trades students in the Comox Valley School District will benefit from a three-year, $15-million investment by the B.C. government to support youth trades programs with the purchase of new trades training equipment.

A $7.3-million contract has been awarded to Knappett Industries of Nanaimo to finish work on the new route that will provide an improved connection between Highway 19 and the community of Courtenay.
