An enforcement operation to protect the Kiskatinaw River watershed in the Dawson Creek area has reviewed 49 water storage structures, including dugouts and dams.

Work has started to resurface approximately 29 kilometres of Highway 97 near Dawson Creek, to improve safety and efficiency.

WorkBC’s Find Your Fit Tour will be in Dawson Creek at the Dawson Creek Secondary school – central campus on Thursday, Nov. 23, and open to the public from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The British Columbia government is celebrating Frederickson Farm and its 100 years of ranching in B.C. with a Century Farm Award.

Travellers are advised that Highway 49 between 8th Street (Highway 2) and Rolla Road 3 (Snakepit) will be closed while crews repair a culvert. 

Work at a number of streams affected by flooding in the Peace District last June will be completed before the spring run-off.

Skilled trades students in the Peace River South, Peace River North and Fort Nelson school districts will benefit from a three-year, $15-million investment by the B.C. government to support youth trades programs with the purchase of new trades training equipment.

Work will begin soon on a number of projects in the Peace district.
