Cowichan Tribes and the Province of British Columbia have made permanent a government-to-government agreement that supports participation in cannabis production and sale.

People in Duncan and North Cowichan who are at risk of harm or victimization will benefit from a $30,000 grant to create a community-based team of front-line workers to deliver better, faster access to services.

Government is transforming everyday health care for people living in the Cowichan region by establishing a primary care network, which will bring additional resources and strengthened support to the region.

Child care is getting less expensive and easier to find in the Cowichan Valley as the Province invests in nearly 120 new child care spaces to give more parents the option to return to work, go back to school or pursue other opportunities.

As part of its ongoing commitment to reduce wildfire threats, the B.C. government is providing more than $72,700 in community resiliency investment grants to support projects in the Cowichan Valley.
