More student seats are on the way for families in the Southeast Kootenay School District with funding approved for a new elementary school.

Families and individuals now have access to 49 new affordable rental homes in Fernie with the opening of North End Court.

Students at Isabella Dicken Elementary are returning to an expanded and improved school now that an 80-seat addition is complete.

People throughout the East Kootenays will have continued access to health-care services in Kelowna through cost-free travel with the Province providing $300,000 to support Angel Flight East Kootenay (AFEK).

A $25,000 Community Gaming Grant will help the Fernie Nordic Society begin the process of mapping and designing new trails in the Elk Valley.
