Fort Nelson-area residents and media are informed that the Find Your Fit Tour stop scheduled for today at Fort Nelson Secondary School, to be open to the public from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., has been cancelled due to weather concerns.

WorkBC’s Find Your Fit Tour will be in Fort Nelson at Fort Nelson Secondary school on Monday, Nov. 27, and open to the public from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The B.C. government has distributed $38,112 in compensation for municipal property taxes to the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality.

Families in the Fort Nelson school district will benefit from improved transportation services, thanks to $32,744 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.

Students and teachers at R.L. Angus Elementary school and G.W. Carlson Elementary school in Fort Nelson will benefit from innovative learning concepts being put into action thanks to 15 new K-12 Innovation Partnership projects.

Work is underway on the new Fort Nelson River Bridge on Highway 77. The $35-million project is part of the Province’s 10 year transportation plan, B.C. on the Move.
