Grand Forks and Osoyoos airports will receive $225,000 in combined funding from the B.C. Air Access Program.

Students in the Boundary School District will benefit from $648,758 in provincial funding for school upgrade projects, classroom supplies and a new school bus, MLA Linda Larson announced on behalf of Education Minister Mike Bernier.

The B.C. government is funding seven extreme weather shelter spaces in Grand Forks this winter to help people whose health and safety may be threatened by cold, wet weather.

Students, teachers and staff at Grand Forks Secondary school in the Boundary school district will benefit from $190,000 in provincial School Enhancement Program funding.          

Families in the Boundary school district will benefit from improved transportation services thanks to $153,588 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.

The Government of B.C. has committed to replacing six transition house beds to ensure at-risk women and their children fleeing abuse will continue to have a safe and supportive place to live during difficult times.
