Low- to middle-income people in Kamloops will benefit from 112 new affordable rental homes.

Patrick O’Connor did not know who to contact or where to go. Cold and hungry, he realized that nothing had prepared him for a life on the street.

People experiencing homelessness in the area will soon have permanent modular homes with around-the-clock staffing and wraparound supports in Spero House, or “house of hope.”

In response to the number of people experiencing homelessness in the area, the Province is working with the City of Kamloops to open 55 temporary modular homes while construction continues on additional permanent supportive housing.
