The BC Wildfire Service is sending additional personnel to Alberta to help respond to an increasingly challenging wildfire situation.

People experiencing homelessness in the area will soon have permanent modular homes with around-the-clock staffing and wraparound supports in Spero House, or “house of hope.”

Seven Secwepemc communities and the Province have committed to collaborating on a long-term reconciliation agreement focused on implementing inherent rights, improving community well-being and advancing government-to-government relationships.
