The Province is working with the City of Kelowna and community partners to continue Cornerstone shelter operations at 425 Leon Ave. to help people experiencing homelessness while permanent housing options are built.

A 90-minute education session is being offered in Kelowna as part of a new school-based gang prevention program to provide parents with practical knowledge on how to help prevent their children from getting involved in youth gangs.

Under the BC Rural Dividend Program, the Government of British Columbia is providing $271,544 for four projects in the South Okanagan.

Westbank First Nation (WFN) will build a rooftop solar farm on its community school to demonstrate the viability of clean energy, supported by a $150,000 equity investment from the Province.
